I'm in one of those discussions now and have seen no published details but will post any/all links and material on our Megaconference site pages. There are likely to be Internet2 Conference sessions and BOF meetings from Tuesday 10/2 through Friday 10/5. Supporting technologies will range from live massive H.323 real-time conferences to very high quality MPEG-2 live multicast streams. Telephone conference bridges will also be available for those without appropriate video technology available. Most presentation materials will be posted to Web sites as well. Local Public Sites Sought At this time, Peter Jörgensen, is working on a public site at the UB School of Informatics. Details will be posted as they emerge on our local Web pages. There are no other known public sites at this time in the WNY region. Please consider this as an opportunity to shake-down your systems & procedures and to get involved in both the Megaconference and the Fall Internet2 Membership Meeting. Contact me directly if you have interest & capability. Duplicate Postings Those of you who are on both the WNY-PRI distribution listserv and the WNY-HPNVI will be getting duplicates of event summaries like this for awhile. If you are not getting duplicates and want to be receive notices of IP-video events and projects that may be relevant to the region, please email me and ask to be included in the WNY-HPNVI distribution. I'm sorry for the cross postings but know of no other way at this time to keep everyone informed. Regards, Jim
