WNY-PRI/BISSNET
21st Century Fund Grant Application
Brochure

This is an HTML version of the brochure that the Steering Committee prepared for the 21st Century Fund proposal presentation on October 29th at the Rich Rennaisance, in Buffalo, New York.  The HTML version does not precisely match the layout of the printed version in large part due to typographic and layout option differences between Word and FrontPage.  The precise printed layout has been preserved in the larger separate Adobe Acrobat <pdf> files for the front page and the back page.

The brochure was printed on both sides and folded in three.  It was folded so that rightmost panel of the first page below was the exposed top of the folded brochure; the middle panel thus became the back.  The second page below is the inside of the brochure as seen when it was completely unfolded.

WESTERN NEW YORK
    PARTNERSHIP for
        REGIONAL
             INTERNETWORKING

With a vision for regionalism and improving our community, the WNY Partnership for Regional Internetworking (WNYPRI) was formed from the WNY High Performance Network Video Initiative, founded in 1995. Today the consortium represents over 30 public and non-profit organizations from across Western New York. The MISSON of  the consortium is to advocate for  improvements to the regional network infrastructure that  allow for high quality videoconferencing and other large bandwidth applications.

WNYPRI members were faced with an immediate problem involving the duplication of expensive and highly technical multipoint videoconferencing equipment including the need for trained expertise to support that equipment. The proposed 21st Century Regional Internetworking Center is an ideal solution, which will bring live interactive video to multiple points simultaneously in support of high quality applications for education, healthcare and government services, creating the regional on-ramps to the information superhighway.
